The expected learning outcomes for these Nationally Recognised Training units are:
MSMPER200 Work in accordance with an issued permit
- Apply for permit
- Identify the scope of the permit
- Prepare for permitted work
- Work in accordance with an issued permit
- Complete permit to work
MSMPER205 Enter confined space
- Access confined space for entry
- Use safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Work in accordance with confined space requirements
- Conclude confined space operations in accordance with procedures
TRAINING STANDARD PRE-REQUISITES
MSMPER200 Work in accordance with an issued permit.
Trainees must be deemed competent in MSMPER200 Work in accordance with an issued permit which is delivered as part of the course on Day 1, before they can continue on and be assessed in MSMPER205 Enter confined space.
ERGT REQUIRED SKILL & KNOWLEDGE
There are no prior skills and knowledge required for this course.
RECOMMENDED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
In order to complete this training within the course duration, ERGT recommends that trainees should be experienced workers who are in full time or part time employment
and have completed a vocational level 1 certificate or higher qualification.
They should be able to read, interpret and adhere to company safe working procedures, work permits and other workplace standard operating procedures. The ability to use
computerised equipment, communicate effectively with team members in the workplace and complete standard workplace forms is also recommended. Lastly, they should be able to participate in risk assessments to identify hazards and apply controls.
MEDICAL & HEALTH STANDARDS
A medical certificate is not required for this course; however a health questionnaire and declaration of fitness will be required at course registration.
