Trainers & Training Standards

ERGT Australia’s training services are backed by relevant quality assurance standards. These are continually improved to ensure best practice in the delivery of services to our customers.

Training staff

At ERGT Australia, we consider the high quality of our training staff to be the singularly most important feature of our training service. We recognise that even a well-designed course, conducted in state-of-the-art facilities, requires a qualified and talented trainer to achieve optimum training objectives.

When it comes to working with trainees, ERGT staff adhere to these three cornerstones: safety, quality and respect. ERGT trainers are always prepared to embrace new ideas in the pursuit of risk control and improving safety training.

Trainers are chosen for their experience, knowledge and skills in their field of expertise. However, ERGT understands that effective courses are delivered by effective trainers. That’s why, in addition to their field of expertise, our trainers possess highly developed instructional skills and are excellent communicators with strong interpersonal skills and professional attitudes.

All ERGT trainers are certified to deliver and assess training under the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and hold TAELLN401A Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills. This is the current industry requirement for anyone responsible for competency-based training program design, development, delivery and assessment in the national vocational education and training (VET) sector.

Certificate IV Upgrade
ERGT has been working with Training Services Australia (TSA) to upgrade our Certificate IV qualified trainers to the new standard from November 2017. The Australia Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) announced an updated the Training and Education (TAE) Training Package in July 2017. By April 2019 all Trainers and Assessors who deliver and/or assess nationally recognised training for an RTO or in a partnership arrangement with an RTO are required to upgrade their qualifications from TAE40110 to TAE40116.

ERGT selected Training Services Australia (TSA), a training provider aligned with our own values of safety, assurance, cost effectiveness and engagement, to upgrade the skills and knowledge of our Trainers. TSA accommodated our national trainer presence while providing consistent, flexible and high quality training.
